BIDDERS TERMS & CONDITIONS

Cash, certified funds, VISA®, MasterCard® and DISCOVER® are accepted forms of payment. Personal or company check will be accepted if accompanied by a current and valid bank letter and with proper ID.  All purchases are to be paid in US dollars at the time and place of the sale.  A 10% Buyers Premium will be added to the hammer price of each lot sold.  A 8% New York sales tax will be charged to all purchases unless a certificate of resale has been filed with our office.  Absentee or phone bidders must arrange that payment be made within 48 hours from the time the auction closes.

Bidders holding a valid New York State resale number must provide their certificate or a copy thereof when registering or will be required to pay 8% New York State sales tax on purchases.

Carden Family Auction Service's printed materials (i.e. Partial Catalogs, Catalogs & Advertisements, including this web site) are meant merely as a guide. The Auctioneer does not warrant the accuracy, genuineness, authenticity, condition, description, weight, count or measure of any of the lots specified herein. 

Please make yourself familiar with the merchandise you are bidding on, together with the terms and conditions of the sale. Prospective buyers should satisfy themselves by personal inspection as to the condition of each lot.  Although condition reports may be given upon request, such reports are statements of opinion only. Statements made by Auctioneer and/or staff of Auctioneer are opinions only and should not be construed as statements of fact.

Regardless of whether or not a condition report is given, all property is sold subject to Item #1 of our "Conditions of Sale," which provides that all property is sold as is. The absence of a condition report does not imply that the property is in good condition.  All dimensions are approximate.  

Carden Family Auction Service s not responsible for items damaged during shipping.

CONSIGNMENTS & SALES POLICY

CONSIGNING YOUR PROPERTY You may consign your property for sale at the next monthly auction in our Auction House, or we can auction your property on site at your location if appropriate. Our staff assists in every step of the process. We provide an accurate and detailed inventory of your consignment and report the prices realized for each item. We provide safe storage for your property and all items are insured during the entire auction process. Payment for auctioned property is usually provided in full within 48 hours after the sale. Cash advances can be arranged in some instances. SALES COMMISSION RATES Sales commissions vary according to the type of property and the nature of the sale. Please contact us for commission rates for your individual situation. OUTRIGHT PURCHASE We also purchase entire estates or single items, for cash.
